Obtained a licence from the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) on September 25, 1995, to conduct Security Services business under the Private Agencies Act 1971.
On March 7, 1997, a subsidiary company Armour Security Monitoring Sdn Bhd was established to provide Centralized Alarm Monitoring Services (CMS).
On August 20, 2001, another company Armour Security Kawaltronic Sdn Bhd was consolidated under the Armour Security Group, to offer electronic security services and equipment such as Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), Alarm Systems, Access Control Systems and AI Facial Recognition System.
In 2005, the development of Cash Management Services began. Logistic infrastructures such as processing and cash management facilities, new computer software systems, and automated process systems were rapidly developed. The management’s attempts to market this new product to local banks faced significant challenges. With relentless effort and determination, on October 28, 2008, the company secured its first contract from Maybank to manage 2 ATM machines in Batu Caves, Kuala Lumpur.
In 2022, Armour Security has 12 Registered Currency Processing Centres throughout Malaysia, approved by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) under the Currency Act 2020. The company manages over 3200 self-service terminals comprising of bank’s ATM/CRM machines, Armour Security owned bulk cash deposit machines (e-Safe) and outsourced cash management for several local financial institutions.
Armour Security with its group of dedicated and experienced personnel brought exceptional growth to the whole group after its commencement of business in 1997. With its first operating office in Brickfields, Armour Security Group now has 58 branches/offices nationwide with an annual turnover of more than RM160 million.
